Amazing Animals - Tasked to create four versions of an animal of our choice, I decided to take my love for Shetland Sheepdogs into play and chose this image to recreate.

Stylized - Here is the overview of all four versions of the Shetland Sheepdog. Encyclopedic (top left), Gesture (top right), Transformation (bottom left), and Brand Logo (bottom right). 

Encyclopedic - Creating the realistic sketch was fun, focusing on the shading and the whites of the fur.

Gesture - this was the last idea made, while not thinking about the assignment, created with the technique of not lifting the pen and drawing with one line.

Gesture - Here are a select few of the gesture designs I created. I varied between using ink, charcoal, and a marker.

Transformation - My love for ballet and the confidence shown in the breed of dog, I was inspired to transform this Sheltie into Clara from the Nutcracker Ballet.

Transformation - I had fun making the Sheltie into different characters that they remind me of. These variations held a dynamic aspect in the look of the sheltie but I chose to go with the one that changed the Sheltie's body movement the most.

Logo- I wanted to show the separation in the colors on the Sheltie's fur, therefore I added the variation of the line weight and the knockouts. 

Logo- The variations I went through, I wanted to have fun with the flow of the fur but ultimately landed on the variation that held the shape of the fur points nicely.
